Why?

On 18th November I woke up to twitter being down... again... I looked at the imagery and thought again how lovely the page was, and yet how sad I was to see it. So, a quick screen capture of the "Twitter is currently down for database maintenance" page, and the 503 page and the idea for tweeterr was born. It is simply a place to see the twitter fail page, even when twitter is alive and well.

What?

The home page randomly selects a fail image from the collection and displays it. If you want to see all of the fail images then take a look at the gallery. So that the site isn't completely useless, it also displays the most recent updates from the Twitter Status RSS feed

Some of the screen shots aren't as large as the others, and have been mainly found by searching around the internet, so if you have a larger version of any of them, or have a twitter fail screenshot that isn't in the gallery, then simply upload it to flickr, give it a tweeterr tag and I'll find it and add it to the gallery.

How?

Nothing complicated, just a spot of php to do the random image selection for the homepage and the RSS reader.

Who?

Tweeterr is an idea developed by Jane Dallaway and designed by Alex Goluszko
